Didn't see that coming (dash cam)

Schneider.(in the article pictures he is the only one without rearend damage)
Dashcam looks like it was from a blue flatbed hauling lumber.

 

It's getting crazy with all the idiots slamming into stalled traffic... no common sense enough to PUT THE PHONE DOWN AND PAY ATTENTION. Especially with the mega's and their next to worthless training programs.

Just guessing but judging from the magnitude of that hit,.. I doubt there is much left of the truck that hit him. I didnt read the whole story,.. said fatality. I think its safe to assume it was the driver who rear ended him that died.

Back in 91 I had a Chevy Caprice rear end my trailer. I thought the driver was dead,.. but they extracted her and flew her away. I was sitting at a traffic light when it happened,.. I barely felt it. Trooper estimated she was doing 50 mph when she hit me.

So for what I saw in that video,.. he was hit hard with a lot of force from something really heavy. My guess is the cab of the truck that hit him was probably crushed between the 2 trailers.

As for the seats with thin plates,.. I'm thankful the driver seat in my truck has a pretty thick base plate where the seat mounts to. I had to drill 2 holes in it when I replaced my seat. The passenger side does not have that plate,.. just thin flooring.

If you look at the pictures from the link, you will see the fifth wheel plate is bent. This dude got hit hard!
