The truck has been sitting since Christmas
Started on Monday
Tuesday would not start
Today(Friday) I gVe it a jump and started
Detroit60 motor
What's the normal output I should be looking for on alternator. After letting it idle about 15minites the volts were around 13-13.5
Is this normal?
Also, had a check engine sign come on during idle but when i took it for a drive around the yard it went away.
Anyone else have this sort of problem?

I would pull the batteries go have them tested. I had the same thing happen over the holidays I ended up having a bad cell in each of the batteries.

Give her a good run, hour or so on the road to charge them batteries.
13.6 - 14.2 should be normal alternator output.
Alternatively, remove all batteries, clean terminals, slow charge, and test.
Check engine light may be associated with low voltage.
Check for any phantom drain on battery system.truckthatpassesyouby Thanks this. -
Just make sure you fully charge batteries before load testing.

Update
The truck started just fine
Drove it around for about an hour or so and it was showing 14v on the meter.
