    Dogs love me.
    I can choose,to be stuck,in a small truck,with minimal living conditions.
The dog cannot choose his living conditions.
The truck is a better place, than an animal shelter, but not by much.
    Tha cage is slightly larger.

You may run into me one day. I'm the guy that walks his dog, or trains his dog 2 or 3 times a day, or bikes his dog 3 miles every other day.
Only a fool offers an uneducated opinion as pompous as yours.

Very ignorant comment. A dog in a truck at least has a loving owner and will not be killed at the end of the month.

What's better being in prison on death row, or living in a truck?

Had my dog Abby in the truck for 4 years. I would say about 80% of the time I loved having her with me but there were just those times when all you want to do is end your day and lie down. Nope, have to get the dog out and go for a walk. No matter how hot or cold or dumping down rain, gotta get her out for that walk.

The best times were in between loads, we'd go for walks and check the pedometer oftentimes we walked 18-22 miles in a 24 hour period.
Since she's been off the truck I have gained several pounds. And I know my ankles and hips are getting weak from not using them. It's the perfect excuse for walking excercise, especially around neighborhoods. A man walking around a neighborhood gets a lot of attention. But a man walking with a dog doesn't bother people.

Yes dog hair got into everything and the truck did stink to me if we went longer than a week without bathing her and washing all her bedding. Shes been out for 7 months, you'd never know a dog was ever in here. Even after that one time she got sprayed by a skunk lol. We saw all manner of wild critters walking around the country out behind truck stops oftentimes will see deer, antelope, bison, elk, coyotes, racoons, beavers, muskrats, and rabbits.

All in all I may get another dog this spring. Abby is retired off the road, house guard dog now.

Tried to post a link for a soft sided.pop up kennel but it won't let me. They are $25 or so at Walmart and are invaluable when training and a good place to keep them while showering etc until they are over the puppy chewing stage. Mine is a mini golden doodle, sheds very little and is awesome out on the road. Gets me out of the truck and walking regularly. It is more work, but to me worth it. 20160112_152018.jpg

I only found one spot that told me my dog couldn't stay in the truck. Went around the block put her in this kennel on the bed, closed the curtains and nobody knew.

Dogs are awesome. Saw a truck with 3 cats and 2 little chihuahuas once. .. No way she was OTR because that's too much.

Petvalu and a lot of other pet stores have a self serve dog wash. Google it you will find it. I usually don't have to bath the Road Dog out on the road but have a couple times and never had a problem finding a spot.

Years ago I was picking up at a place, another driver had his dog tied up outside by the fence, 110 degrees 110 percent humidity. The driver was in worse shape than his dog with anxiety. He had to stay in the driver lounge while loading and not allowed to go outside to see his dog.
