Most of us can agree that TQL is one of the worst, if not the worst, brokerage firm on the continent. These guys move into an area, undercut the good brokers and lower the cost of freight, sometimes well below operational cost. I would like the TQL apologist on this forum to answer for why TQL is so bad. Why is it that TQL will not give you all the information up front on the rate confirmation sheet? Why is that TQL is the only brokerage firm that routinely "cancels" a load? Why is it that when the broker screws up he tries to blame the driver and pulls the load? Why is it that extension numbers randomly change on TQL's system so we can't identify the good, bad and ugly agents? Why is it that TQL uses "agents" or trainees to answer calls in which they have no answers and little information? Tell me TQL apologist why your company is so reprehensible that on this forum it has the monicker "worst of the worst"?

He told me about a load going from Tampa to Tallahassee that paid $300. Was in shock. Considering we pickup water loads from zephyrhills that go 60 miles to kissimmee that pay $400.
Flipflops Thanks this. -
Back after the industry was deregulated in the 80s JB Hunt got a bad reputation for hauling cheap freight and driving down freight prices in different areas. I guess TQL must of stole a page from JB's playbook.

Because TQL hires college kids most of the time. These college kids don't have a job else where. They're taught only one thing. PROFIT. This is by any mean necessary. Keeping detention? Sure if you can get away with it, take that extra $100-$800 bucks. Cancel on a guy just cause you found a guy for cheaper and it puts an extra $300 in the pocket? CANCEL! Whatever it takes.
I can't deal with them. The sound of their voice on the phone, their numbers, you name it, I'll burn my trucks before I take another TQL load. What bothers me is I have their number blocked. They will call me of different numbers sometimes, and I hate when I have to be an a-hole. I simply don't want to work with them. When they call me blocked, and so on, I play a long until I tell them it will cost $20,000 or some off the wall number. They freak out and I tell them "i know it's crazy, but the truth is, I hate working with TQL and don't want your load at all, bother someone else".. One guy had a nerve to actually say that I am looking to make money, like no ####. Yes I'm looking to make as much as possible! Few times I actually debated on going to their office and ####ing a person up once they get out of work.Dave_in_AZ, Jonkie, freightwipper and 5 others Thank this. -
TQL....The bottom feeders of brokers as well as Coyote!
bigmotor1212, Jonkie, SoDel and 3 others Thank this. -
I think you guys have it wrong. Yeah sure there are a few bad apples but there are a lot more good brokers. If they were really that bad, how could they grow like they have? Mind you the growth has been without any acquisitions.I have talked to them numerous times and outside of a fake post here and there, they have been great for the last year.

I am broker, not at TQL, but about 1 mile down the road from them. They treat their workers like assembly line slaves, if you aren't making big margins in 8 weeks you are fired. The stress is insane, everyone drinks and does drugs. All of the stress, pressure, anger, and frustration that they put up with daily translates in how they deal with drivers.
Not sure why they are so special in their suckitude, but even within the industry they are regarded as some greasy, untrustworthy mothers.Dave_in_AZ, HopeOverMope and Nitemare13 Thank this. -
This is what your helping to pay for......by hauling for these guys..bbechtel16, samjward, bigmotor1212 and 2 others Thank this.
