Just CB talk really, there's been a few posts on forums including here but I agree that sometimes third party components added by a manufacturer can be problematic and some will not have the comprehension to separate between the two.

Only thing I don't like about the half rounds is it can be hard to see if you leaning, with a long hood/63" bunk and 12/46s and a Mac 40' half round I was 34460 and with a east 40' 60" sides I was 34520. Both trailers were about 11,000 and could get about 22k in for a standard load, but with overweight permits in the north east I have dumped 35 ton loads with both, however the newer east Genesis I had (40' spread 72" sides) didn't impress me a whole lot as you needed a pry bar to open the gate and couldn't close it when you were loaded from the walls bowing, (with 35 ton)
I have never heard of a mate so I can't give my $0,02 on them -
