Yeah I know at my DC they have a few more openings still for 6/3 drivers I consider myself blessed.....plus they are adding trucks and phasing out the 2010 Petes with 2016s as they come in. Our two trucks in the program have high miles so will probably get two brand new ones pretty soon

Well, I made it thru orientation yesterday and thankful that a company, like this, takes the time to make sure you are well informed and trained. I get to start out Monday morning with my mentor and I'm sure learning the OBC will be a lot easier than sitting in a classroom. The one thing I didn't see mentioned was doing the CBL's (computer based learning). I think that was the worse part of it, especially since 3-4 of them were same repetitive subject.

I believe we will be getting our program assignment after this coming week. I'm looking forward to the next step...

    drozzer69 and Ron_G_Sr Thank this.

Are you allowed to float shift on the road test or will they fail you for that? I'm so used to floating that I can float shift and it's so smooth that you can barely feel the shift, but when I double clutch the shifts are not as smooth because I'm not used to doing it.

    Woodenleg Thanks this.

What ever works for you. They won't judge that unless you scratch the trans out of the truck.

    Woodenleg and AceMon Thank this.

Maybe if you tried to pull a trailer with a 10 year old civic. Otherwise, I would hope anyone qualified to road test for Wal-Marts private fleet never has that happen.
