Its only happened a few times in 8mos Herr for me personally..
-
No I meant...when it has happened to you, how many of those loads are live loads and how many were preloaded that "cancelled"
-
The IC load board is the same board that your DBL picks loads from. So, if you're sitting because of no loads, then you should be talking to your DBL. I talked to a driver that was sitting waiting on a load. He told me the same thing, that he was told there were no loads. I cranked up my laptop and showed him the 400 + loads in a 100 mile radius. Just sayin.drvrtech77 Thanks this.

Just another reason to be self dispatched. That truck is about to have my name on it...drvrtech77 and Home_on_wheels Thank this.

That's why I'm here..I really enjoy the freedom to set my schedule and my income without a desk jockey dictating it..

I have a renewed faith that comprehension as an intellectual skill has not completely diminished.
I am merely questioning the business concept of competing divisions for a shrinking market share and the continued "pimping" of the IC program in the face of having to find loads for company drivers. At the same time company drivers (at least in the west) are sitting IC drivers are seeing smaller quotes on available freight and more competition on the load board.
Yet Schneider keeps advertising for more IC drivers.
I don't have an MBA so maybe I can't grasp the logic behind this internal conflict; to me it doesn't appear to provide adequately for either the company driver or the independent contractor.
Ethos raises an interesting point...is Schneider too big to be effective and opporate efficiently? Is the size of Schneider and the systems employed too ineffective to fuction without chaos?
Is this part of the reason for lessening the California footprint? As the tenth largest economy in the world it is difficult to fathom a retreat in the face of other common carriers increasing their commitment to this lucrative market.
Regarding the golden state of California the proper venue for rants and political diatribes is the "thickskin" forum.91B20H8, Home_on_wheels and ethos Thank this. -
Yea I've been looking over a lot of info and with all the tools out there, if you set your mind to it, shouldn't have a problem making profit.
-
Do they keep you in the west 100%? I'm out of Charlotte and I've been out to ca only once.

I have had only 3 checks in 8mos that we're either zero or broke even and that was because I went on vacation and Xmas holiday.. Thats it..
