Questions for management.

Since when do DBL pick loads?
It used to be DBL could stop a load from going to a truck for reason of course but the load planning is done out of GB by dedicated planners based on trucks available and best utilization.

Obviously it must of changed but if a DBL does in fact dispatch that there would explain why drivers sit.

 

They don't plan, it was a comparison.

 

Sounds like a good deal. Had to call and ask about why I was about to pay $1k down I a truck with like 15k miles...because that's not new. But that payment soon vanished after I asked about it. These guys seem to be honest in the info they give you over the phone and through emails. They definitely don't want you to fail.

 

I was never on the company side so Whoever picks the loads, they use the same load board as us.

 

Thank God they don't. I would feel bad for some guys that their dbl honestly doesn't like them. You can tell it exists when you get messages about how other drivers are constantly doing stuff wrong and how much they wished all their drivers were similar to a select few. Very professional some of these dbls are.

 

It's always going to exist when a company has it's own company drivers. Unlike places like dart, landstar, etc. But then places like that come with their own set of new issues

 

Definitely, it takes the right person.

 

Has nothing to do with size ... Schnieder appears to be wedded to a management philosophy that insists on inflexible structure ... ran into in '85 with one of their other business ventures and what I've seen here, it holds true for their trucking business also.

 

Uhm, Dart has a company side. Used to be called AllPoints. Not sure what it is called today.
