I noticed that 2 days ago being on I 10 from Alabama to Texas. There good money to be made down in the south central compared to Midwest? Average rate in the Midwest looks about .40 higher as of this morning.

Can't be that bad that majority of the sni trailers I've seen were pulled by ICs...unless they like cheap freight which I would hope not. Ran into a celadon lease driver in Pineville who was telling me how great 1.07 all miles was.....but he said he enjoys living in a cheap state so I guess it makes sense.

I ran into one of our own IC drivers who told me he wouldn't pull anything under $.70/mi. I wish I were making this up.

I'm not expecting $3/mi but averaging $1.65-1.90 shouldn't be hard if you are working, right?

It depends on where you live as compared to where you'll run and your hometime needs or wants.

The biggest challenge is being able to book the freight before it's gone. LOTS more competition for the same loads now. More ic's were hired but freight board volume is about the same and rates tanked.

And the rates you see on the board are after sni takes their 35%, correct? Like what you see is what you get.
