.70/mi sounds like you are only running to barely pay for the truck.

 

.70 cpm mile your paying to haul that freight.

Break even for me is about .88 cpm based on 2000 miles.

That's just for the truck and truck expenses.

 

What's your rate to cover all expenses business and personal? $1.08/mi or something

 

My minimum rates is not how I run.

I run for the truck first then I pile on whatever is best for me.

I try and have all expenses for truck covered in 1st 2 days then the rest of my 70 is for fuel to run and my take home.

I used to run based solely on rate per mile bit I've found once the truck expenses and fuel to cover those miles are covered I can then concentrate on profit.

 

Back home, under a load.
