Don't forget, one of the stipulations is you have to live within 250 miles of the DC you are applying at. I'm not sure how much time you have to be within that radius tho.

They just said live within 250 or willing to relocate, no one told me how long you have to move? Like I said before, there are six DCs within 250 miles of my home, but none are hiring at this time.
We have no ties to this town, so can relocate with out too much trouble.

    Woodenleg Thanks this.

Yea we don't have anything keeping us confined to 1 location so we can relocate if needed

As far as I know, you have to live within the radius on the first day of employment( training).

    Woodenleg Thanks this.

That's best to get accurate answer. But with the issue that caused this policy ( Tracy Morgan accident) , I'm gonna bet there's no tolerance.

Don't fill out an app unless you can be within 250 miles before your training date. No exceptions.

Yeah, the number and guidelines are what they are, pretty straightforward.

A good way to tune up backing skills is work as a fill in yard dog when you have some down time. Not one using a daycab and cranking landing gears but a yard mule Kalmar or Ottowa type.
