$900 a week? That seems high for what you are getting. I'd check with a few dealers, PacLease, Penske, Volvo, etc.

    I agree..there are better options.
I leased in the beginning to get a idea of just what I was getting into.
As far as full maintenance lease..it's basically the same thing except the truck is covered for anything that goes wrong.
But you pay into with a variable maintenance cost..the more miles you run the more you pay per mile.
And at the end they keep everything in the maintenance fund..so you lose that money either way.
Sure you get a new truck at the end of the term if you choose.
The guy in the above video is good person to talk to..I've talked to him and he has alot of knowledge about the industry..a full maintenance lease works for him and that's all that matters for HIM.

I'm not saying go lease..I'm just saying Schneiders program is better than most because you know what you're getting into and YOU control how much you earn.
Or how much you don't earn.

I too have thought about doing a 1 year lease with SNI. For one I agree that unlike some leasing companies and i mean the company itself not the finance dept. SNI does have the better hand. For one they have freight you can choose by percentage with your fuel surcharge. Which means that you book the loads by whats best for you and your bottom line.

I also do like the fact that with it being SNI freight you dont have to deal with brokers and they pay for your permits base plates and i do believe IFTA (correct me if im wrong).

If there were a good finance company that was legit with actually keeping truckers on the road and not worrying about fixed costs with a mid decent warrenty on a used truck with not so high interest rates. Then i would jump ship fast. Reason why used?? For me ive always and still do have DEF issues from cummins too detroit too paccar. If i could i would like too buy a pre emissioned truck without those extra sensors. Petty much a glider kit.

Though keep in mind that whatever i make i save it in three different ways. Maintenance and Taxes and fuel cost excluding tire and hotel should i need those for any reason. Then ill figure out how much im going too pay myself after i figure out how much i paid for the the buisness also factor in personal bills. Me personally im still saving enough money too start. Heck idk when ill start if i even decide too go that route, but it will happen sooner or later.

As im typing this i got a stop engine light. This is why i want pre emissions lol. I never knew that they did sell em. I figured they would want sell what is legal for every state. Im still wondering the costs of the truck though.

No they don't pay IFTA..they track it and it pay it with your money.
If you watch your fueling it helps keep IFTA costs down.

As for DEF issues and newer engines..Cummins are the worse.
But all engines have trouble..idling causes most of the issues.
    APU will help with that.

I had a 2015 KW T680 with a PACCAR MX13..no issues other than repeated check engines lights.
Mechanic told me to let the OBC do it's job and if it's a minor problem the light will go out after 3-6 days.
He was right..most times it went off after 2 days.
As for issues..engine derated on me one time due to bad def(sensor),leveler valve and a set of steers(my fault should've checked the alignment sooner).
APU refridgerant line replaced..due to inproper install(thanks SNI).
That's it..my maintenance costs were very low..other than regular oil changes etc.
I only had my lease truck for 18 months..I was lucky with that deal.
Nice truck but hated the wingman collision avoidance device(with a passion).

My lease experience was ok..higher payment but it worked for me.
I NEVER had a issue making my payment every week and earning a good check.

I don't know..but they raised the amount because they're now trying to limit the amount of IC's coming on board easily... That's why they did it..also all new cascadias are coming with tri pak no more idle free apus..

Makes it seem like you're paying less.
