Let 'er roll... let 'er roll.
I'll bet you could average 80 and not use more than a gallon.

    I'm home in Burnsville.
I put off my doctors appointment until today because of the road conditions yesterday.
Today was a lot nicer, except for a few flurries around noon. But I was able to get there.

Gotta love the doc's. They always want more and more tests done.
He insisted that I get some blood taken before he would renew my BP med.
OK, no problem, even though I had to skip several days last month to stretch it until now. It was a long time between home times here.
Then he is looking at his computer and showing me all the tests that are recommended and 'needed' - all because I haven't had any tests in a few decades.
Nope. I feel fine. And I only go to doctors when I have a real problem or need - 'Like BP meds for the DOT?' he asks me. Yup, exactly!
He was cool, though. I got a new prescription.

Letting the doctors get their teeth into you is the best way to get hooked on drugs. Lots of drugs.
First it is BP, then it will be something else added to something else to get this just right according to the latest studies. Then a few more.
Before long you will be taking a dozen pills each day, that probably shouldn't be taken together in the first place.
Then you might start getting depressed because of all the drug interactions in your system and are given more pills for that.
Pills that will probably make you either go postal or kill yourself - even by themselves.

How many drug commercials do you see on TV that have zero side effects?
15 seconds of the add is taken up by the side effects, which are usually pretty bad, in a 1 minute spot.

And the doctors, the people who 'want' to keep us 'healthy', don't seem to perceive the paradox in the pharmacy solution.

I am a lucky one in that regard. I take zero meds. Its funny when I see a new doc for the 1st time they ask for what meds you on and I say none they look at me like a deer in headlights look.

And say ok now good laugh now seriously what meds you on.. Then when they find out I am not they give look like there has to be something wrong with me :(o_O

Eloy, AZ. After being sent 3 pplans going to CA, 1 for tonight and 2 for Monday delivery Ontario and Chino, finally got one going to TX. Only 1k miles by Monday afternoon, but better than Ca. Was told no problem getting out of Southern Texas, but I have been told this before. We will see

Speaking of California loads, I took one in yesterday and was held up at the Truckee ag check for hours over a possible gypsy moth link with my load. They rejected my entry and my company at first didn't have the right documentation for the load and the ag check people said that citation goes to the driver. Finally in the end we got the right paperwork and a big red sticker on the BOL for the delivery people to know the load is under quarantine and must be inspected by state officials.

After all that drama it was killer nice to sleep with the windows open and 41 degrees all night.

Went to the 49er and got my DOT physical done. Rolled around the corner to a satellite DMV office that appears to mostly test CDL drivers and was able to scan my longform in less than 5 minute waits as opposed to going to a regular CA DMV where you have to stand in line to get a number, then when they call your number you go up and get another number. \\

Fast Track in Fabens, TX. Was going to go to Van Horn but my app showed that most of the parking there was already getting full. Just 588 miles to go in 2 days. Have to figure out about parking tomorrow.

    Inver Grove terminal.

I just came off home time and I'm on hold for my DOT physical.
My windshield just cracked and the wipers just went out, so I'm also in the shop.
I could have stayed home until tomorrow or early Monday morning but there is some weather coming in tomorrow, so I figured it was safer to get here today. No wipers...

I can do the physical here Monday morning, which is what I figured. But the shop is very busy and I probably won't get in until Wednesday.

Even up until yesterday I was being sent pplans, even though my card expires on the 10th. I should have been on hold the day after I arrived for home time.
The last one had me picking up in Fargo, ND at 0500 Sunday morning and delivering near Dallas the afternoon of the 9th.
I don't know what they were thinking, cutting it that close, but I ignored it until this morning.
As soon as the QC booted up I got a message that the load had been canceled by the shipper.
No pplan after that. That was fine by me.

I'll be here for another several days.
My sister could probably pick me up Monday and take me home for a couple days after I get the physical done, and I might do that. It would depend on her work schedule. I really don't like to make her ferry me around.

And it's a bit strange. My WiFi signal is the only one in range.
No Swift WiFi or any others around. That is a rare thing, especially with so many drivers here in the shop.

Don't know the details, but the terminal manager and both fleet managers at Lancaster got the boot.
