Mic or Cascadia Causing Issues

    I have a decent mic a friend gave me, a chrome Road King that worked fine in my last truck (FL straight 32' box) but now in my 13' Cascadia I was told on a radio check they couldn't hear me. On the mic cord there is a break in the outer shielding just below the mic itself. What is the chance that is the issue or is it the Cascadia antenna setup that is more likely the problem? On my former truck I used a screw on mirror mount with a four foot fiberglass antenna and never had an issue once I upgraded the mic.

    More information would be helpful, what kind of radio, what is swr, do anttenaes look fine are they tight or loose,does coax look good going into radio, do you have another mic that you can try, and yes the obvious , is the mic gain on full.

    Couldn't hear you means a lot of things. If there is an issue with the mic cord, replace the mic first with a stock one and test it out.
