Can you request a inspection by stopping at weight station?

Yes you can i was going thru the ct super coop on I-84. They were working but had waived me thru. I pulled around back anyway. They said hey get out of here we didnt stop you. So i told the i just bought this truck. I need an inspection and i want them to find anything and everything before my select truck warranty is up and i have to pay for repairs. Plys my company will give me $100 if i pass. They pulled me in and the inspector took 2 students with him. Hour and half later they put a sticker on truck and trailer.

 

depends on the state, Montana isn't allowed to do "voluntary" level 1's............easy way to get around the "you cant ask for it " rule is to hold up a sign in the cab when they are weighing your steer axle.......if they have time, and ambition they will give you one

If I was a scale master and some driver came across my scale waving a sign I would pull him in and administrator a drug test.

 

Doesnt t/a shop have a d.o.t inspection service?

 

I thought going through a weigh station WAS asking for an inspection.

 

When your a Radioactive hauler you have to have a CVSA done on the equipment to haul some of the customers Radioactive stuff. I had to do this at my previous company. Always needed a CVSA sticker. Had to go to the chicken coop to get inspected. Always did it empty no load though.
