You'll be staying there until the tow truck arrives, then you'll be relocated to a tow yard

The dude in Houston was no little fuel jockey out there checking parking either, he had a badge and a gun, wasn't messin' around by the looks of it.

I can understand why paid parking would be implemented at pilots/J's near major cities, since they fill up substantially quicker. But why bother putting them at a location in the middle of nowhere? I pulled into the flying J in Winslow, AZ at 2200 a month or so ago and about 1/3 of the parking lot was empty. Zero of the paid spots were being used.

Plenty of parking at independent truck stops ... which are getting fewer and farther between because so many people only recognize the chain truck stops as appropriate places to go...

since Pilot has been caught ripping off carriers with their fuel rebate scam, they are resorting to this stream of income, to catch up and 'penalize' indirectly carriers who sued. They figure F U anyways. We got your fuel so you're F'ed anyways you need us more than we need you.

What kills me is why do they continue doing business with them after that scheme? Take it elsewhere I'm sure you can negotiate a good deal with the volume they're buying.

Fueling drivers.... The Detroiter truck stop, TA if I recall correctly, charges $10 unless you fill 50 gallons. My very first solo run, I was flat broke, so I opted to bobtail down the road to Meijer. That was a very hefty ticket. :-(

Brother I ask the same da%% question.... But think about it, Pilot has the infrastructure to meet the fueling demands of a mega trucking co. Think of it like, the big banks, too big to fail, and in pilots case 'too big to give a F'

Actually not a bad idea its a way truck stops can make some extra money and i would have no problem paying $12 for a plumb park at a busy truck stop and after all it'd be a deductible on your tax anyway.
