Is that showing on the gauge in the dash? Or have you confirmed with a multimeter?
Mine reads 13.8 and as low as 13.5 with everything on. I think you're in the ball park. -
As above. Test guage for accuracy by using multimeter at battery, and alternator output.
Mine runs 13.9V, you're ok I think. -
check loose ground at back of alt along with hot. especially at the crimp. check also at the starter wires going to & from. put mutli meter on back of alt hot & ground & see output. check alt belt for good tension. wires can be corroded or bad where YOU can't see them.

13.6 at alternator,13.6 at batteries with meter,,no voltage drop through cables,,
-
I don't see anything wrong with those numbers, try leaving the lights on for a few minutes to discharge the batteries just a little. (Eng off) You still want it to spin and start normal sounding. See if the gauge comes up to 14 when you start it.

Also run a ground wire from alt. bracket to the frame
truckon Thanks this. -
Is the remote sense wire hooked up on back of alt?
-
have they checked the voltage reg? Most units should charge 14.4 volts on a 12 volt system. Only thing I can think of is the batteries are good fully charged and the alt. Is just maintaining. Not charging.

13.8-14.2 is normal .
If your Batts are full it'll go down closer to 13.8
