This is a very unethical company. I got my CDL from them and completed an 8 month contract. They were advertising a new pay raise which they gave me a .01/mile, but then took away the safety bonus. I did the math and I came out ahead without the .01 raise if I had kept the bonus. They would add money on my pay stub like I had earned, but never paid. So, at the end of the year it shows I made more, but I never got it. If your co-driver quits, they pay you .21/mile while your delivering their loads until they find you another co-driver.

They came to the Trucking school I went to. I didn't even bother listening to em lol. Did they send you to advanced school of driving out in Fontana?

That extra income they are putting on your check stubs will cost you more at tax time.... They are laundering their tax responsibilities on you

I've seen companies do that to o/o also
If you didn't make the $, don't let them have it on record you made more or you will be holding the bag when uncle Sam comes looking for you

CRST is the bottom of the barrel, just as bad as swift and CR England or worse....

I agree but as long as they're making a profit they could care less who quits, who gets fired. They don't even bother to find out what happened because they never believe drivers.I would love to see the day that are so desperate for drivers and they re losing money.

Some things never change. I got mixed up with CRST back in 1993.Went to a local motel in Baltimore to listen to the pitch. "Well, since you're here, why not fill out an app?" So I did. I had a brand-new CDL and needed a job. After sitting through orientation in Cedar Rapids and hearing the phrase "95% no-touch freight" about a gazillion times, the first load I get assigned to with a trainer is 1500 floor loaded cases of garlic, with three stops in Philly and 3 stops in NYC,, including "the notorious HUNT'S POINT produce terminal", which is where seven cases of garlic mysteriously disappeared.. We headed west again with a load of shoes, and one month later when that truck got back to Baltimore I told my co-driver my intentions then called dispatch from a payphone and quit on the spot. (We weren't under dispatch, co-driver was leaving on vacation.) Best call I ever made. I drove for some good companies after that. Unfortunately, even as you gain experience and know the right questions to ask a recruiter, it doesn't matter because the answers are all lies.

I almost had to go to "The Point" last week(was planned on a beer run from Baldwinsville, was NOT looking forward to it). Thank Goodness the load was canceled and I was rerouted to South Carolina instead. Are they still doing HBO documentaries in that area( Hookers On The Point, etc)?
