Keyless entry - How far ?

My keyless entry on 2016 VNL780 doesn't work much farther than being right next to the truck.
Is any else's like this?

My car and pickup truck both work at 50' or farther from the vehicle....

They're brand new........??

.....all 3 of them(key fobs).....

Because the range sucks compared to my other vehicles....
I find myself repeatedly pushing the button to unlock sometimes until I'm finally next to the truck and it decides to work....

 

Truck itself has 4 batteries....not sure how that relates?

The 3 key fobs are brand new, are they all bad ?
How far do your VN key fobs work?

 

I'm not sure, it was mfg on 9/2015

I'll try to open one up and buy some fresh batteries at Wal-Mart to see if it changes
