Never know.. a driver might plow through an OC and mow over all the computers after finding out he has to take another hazmat video lol.

 

I'm highly complacent when watching a safety video

 

How many drivers can the annual and quarterly trainings help? If it helps one driver in each OC become better and gets one "uncaring" driver off and the road Then it's worth the small aggravation to me.

Do I wish quarterly training was better? You betcha. I'd love an honest discussion of indicdents our drivers have faced instead of bland overreaching theory. But they protect the company which signs my paycheck and have the potential to help my fellow driver.

As to the uncaring drivers - we (the training group) need to do better weeding those ####wads out.

 

Could be worst.... Could be a written test.

Talking about training videos again eh? Guess it's that time of the month sni calls on u to watch a video again which u saw when u started working there.

I was talking to an osr about it and he told me when they do those annual road test thingy, some people do fail.

As for me and those videos, I guess it kinda help. Reminding us to be safe and don't get stress out. It's something that we don't think about but it's bury in our heads. I don't miss them tho

 

Honestly, almost every time I learn something.......hey, ya gotta be there, so why not, huh?

 

Then why stop there?
Maybe we should have monthly safety videos and quarterly driving tests to be more safe.

 

weekly might be better......or, perhaps, daily, just before you roll out. Yah, that's the ticket......daily safety videos.

 

Then why have any training? Just let drivers do what they want, right?

It's a balance, you are thinking as a driver, which is understandable, try to look at it from other perspectives.
