At .50 seconds in the cop says even empty you can get a ticket just for the potential to weigh over 10,001 lbs. How many guys do we see everyday with twin 7k and 10k axles?? Tons of em!! Even empty they can give tickets???
Whats your take on this???

Why can't hotshots just get a cdl? They already have the practice driving a trailer around

I agree. If you want to move heavy stuff then man up. But ill bet thousands dont know they can be pulled over for an empty trailer??? The guy had to drop his trailer right there...lol

Vail Pass use to have a 45mph speed limit for vehicles over 26,000lbs GVW then they changed it to GVWR (not sure when). I got pulled over a few times in a beer truck for going 65 empty, opened the doors for the officer, told him I was under 26,000lbs and he let me go. Got a big ticket from the one that cheerfully explained the addition of the R to me.
