In a couple months, America's largest roadblock will initiate when nobody wants to let off the 65 mph throttle.

I read the article but didn't see anything to answer my question. Does this just apply to new trucks or all trucks?
It wouldn't be that big of a deal if they set the limit at 75 but they are talking about 65. Why in the world would you do that? The speed limits are 70 on most interstates.
States tried slower speed limits for trucks but most have found it was a big mistake and have changed all the speed limits back to the same. You just can't have vehicles traveling at different speeds and expect it to work well.KB3MMX and Blackshack46 Thank this. -
Just remember that the states don't have to adopt that regulation if they feel that trucks can go faster.
KB3MMX Thanks this. -
All this elog, speed limiter #### really makes me consider upping my life insurance policy. Go into isolation, start drinking whiskey, and putting a bullet in my brain.
Dye Guardian, Riprap, Blackshack46 and 3 others Thank this. -
Well take it look at canada, they have speed limiter in certain parts. And yes I been side by side with another driver because they guy ahead wanna have "who's heavier going down a hill" race.
But most of them has common sense and fall back and a line of trucks just in the right lane and nobody passing one another -
It will effect all trucks w/a gross combination vehicle weight of 27,000 lbs.KB3MMX and americanmadetrucker Thank this.

Glad I am on my way out. I hated the idea of auto braking and a noise when to close to another vehicle in front of you. Really I tried to leave a good distance from usually another truck in front of me. Almost as soon as I do a 4 wheeler jumps in between us and that would make the noise and braking. I would go absolute crazy and start ripping wires. Some things you just cant mess with. The most important is driver sanity.
