Those loads that require a Qualcomm also require team drivers with security clearance. So unless you are running as a team, that shouldn't be a factor in the decision of which system to get.

 

Agree, I was just stating the facts in as few words ( I'm lazy) as possible. Now when all the regs come out who knows, QC might be the only device that is compliant. But for DOT to do that would cause a lot of lawsuits.

For now I would stay as cheap as possible. For us I believe that is JJ Keller. I got mine free and pay no fees like I would with a QC so for me I know it's best.

 

That's the important thing, cost. I wouldn't and didn't pay a plug nickel for it.

Yea a lot of cases the smoke tarp isn't necessarily just to block out smoke.
Some shippers want it to keep debris etc etc out
