Yes, most Large company's will give you a grace period if you already are properly licensed in another state... Last time when I did it I had a 1 month grace period but that was years ago so take it as you will

Red Rooster is right. In my 23 yrs and counting, I have never had my drivers license say the same state as my license plate. In OTR, most of these companies hire from such a large geographical area, it just isn't an issue. As long as you are legally licensed, the company wont even worry about it. Just change your license as you normally would when you do move, and let the company know at that time.

If you are moving to take a local job, I'd just apply anyway and let them know you are moving. The hiring process will likely take 2 weeks or better anyway. They can still do all the MVR checks and stuff no matter what state your license is from. They won't need a copy of your license for their personel file until you come to their orientation anyway. You'll be ok to apply. Of course, after moving and changing residences, don't dawdle with getting your license changed over.
