My wheelbase is too short to do a pin-up axle; that's why I'm looking to trade this one in; & get a "big boy truck". With freight rates on heavy work being a Lil bit low currently I can't haul heavy all the time.
I only go to Commifornia a few times a yr, so that's not a big deal to me. A Glider kit is probably the way I'll go.
@superhauler, I agree the trks I'm seeing are worn out too.
As far as rates go; are they in the capper or what?
Good place to buy a 4 axle tractor

Considering the same info I spoke about; do you guys think that a Cummins ISX 400-450; with a 13spd would pull this same type of freight, we'll say GVW of 85k-100k LBS? I have another trk @ home with these specs is why I'm asking so I'm curious.
Rears are like 3:23 or maybe lower I'll have to chk. -
Pilot1 Thanks this.

Nate980...I know 400-450 hp isn't a rocket ship; I just need it to wrk for 4-6 months to pony up some cash for the "big boy hauler", with that rocket ship motor lol.
Work in progress I guess. Funny thing is, the bigger piece of equipment the more cash you gotta pony up- A vicious cycle it seems lol!nate980 Thanks this. -
Check out Richie bros auctions. Tons of trucks like that avail due to the oil fields crapping out.

The other half changed the oil whenever they cracked the pan.
