How much time do you guys spend each day figuring all this stuff out?

 

Actually with all the time to think, I can't really remember if the highway use tax is .13 or .16 cents/mile. But figure from mm 376 to mm 17 in Troutdale, its 359 miles X .13 = $46.67 so divide that that a normal IFTA state would charge per gal by 7 mpg on 51 gals of fuel even at .30 cpg = $15.30 now subtract that from $46.37, and its $31.37 more in IFTA your paying for fuel.

Fuel right now is $1.83 in Stanfield, OR at the Pilot, so get a 100 gallons, $183.90 + $46.37 (hwy tax) = $230.27 so your really paying $2.379 for each gallon with the hwy tax your going to get charged.

A driver can tell themselves they are saving all kinds of money on cheap Oregon fuel, but its a joke, we're really getting screwed big time in that state. And NM, IN and CA wants to change its tax structure to a mileage tax instead of the normal gallon ifta tax.

Indiana has so called cheap fuel, but if you read your fuel info, its mileage based, and we get charged .13 cents per gallon on all the fuel we purchase there.

Yes the last time I answered my phone from Command Transportation while in Portland, OR they had a ld going to Laramie, WY at less than $1 per mile, I wanted $1.30/mi, and they never called me back, haha, LOL

 

Finally got a pplan. Pick up tomorrow, KC load going to Costco, 3 stops in Montana for Wednesday. Guess end up the week again with 1900 miles. Thank you DM for looking out for me on Friday. Before accepted the load tried to call my terminal so that can find out how freight is up there and got ECT Memphis on the phone. They could not tell me anything. Too much in the future. WTF, you could not look at the bubble and see how it is looking there. Got SLC on the phone and they told me that no problems getting trucks out right now. I have home request for the 11th and right now they are saying the best, load picking up on the 8th going to NC that I can t-call in Columbus.

A short 300 mile day, and I have about 90 miles to my delivery tomorrow at 1000 near Des Moines.
It would have been easy enough to get closer, but I don't like those truck stops.
I had hoped to do some laundry today but that didn't pan out. There are only 3 washers here and 2 of them were either broken or not washing correctly. There was a line waiting for that single washer.

I'm hoping for something further east from here. I have been stuck in the western states far too long.

 

Hi, anybody know how the shop in Harrisburg, Pa is compared to Richmond, VA? I've been to the Richmond shop before, it was a day wait to get something done for the trk, I can't remember what it was now. But after I del in MD its about the same 100 miles to either place and I am going to be bt anyway.

Does anyone know what kind of fr8 comes out of that PA term?

I am happy you got something decent out of WVC. On the bright side, fuel was $2.05/gal in MT and not biodiesel, and if your planning on making a big purchase there's no sales tax in MT.

If they are dh'g you to Worland, WY for a can ld, maybe they can split up the dh miles to go on this payck? Maybe it won't be a lot, but it will be something.
