Many years ago, I worked for Millis Transfer out of black River Falls Wisconsin. I drove an 80's model KW T-600. I was asked to do a shuttle load to a paper processing plant that was not very far away; maybe 10 miles or so. One of my outside trailer tires on the left side was in very bad shape. I told Millis that it needed to be changed. They in turn asked me if I could deliver the load and come back and have it changed as it was not that far away and time was of the essence. I reluctantly agreed to comply with their request. So I'm on some 4 lane divided highway and there was a 4 wheeler that was hanging out pretty close to the rear of my trailer in the passing lane. The driver wasn't really focusing on what he was doing. He kept moving forward slowly and drifting back, moving forward and drifting back. The whole time I'm thinking "what in the heck is wrong with this stupid driver?" Pass already! I was also greatly concerned about that tire too. And then suddenly, KABOOM!!
That explosion could have woke up the dead. That car veered off onto the shoulder and then some and it wasn't poking around anymore. They started to make their way along pretty quickly. As they were passing by, they were looking up at me and pointing back to my tire, holding ice cream cones and wiping their faces. I never laughed so hard in all my life. The lady in the back looked as if she must have dropped her cone on her lap as she was holding her cone looking down at her legs.
I believe they all learned a new concept in passing trucks that day. hahahahaha

You are right about those 4 wheelers taking forever to pass a truck...

Most of the time they are doing something with their phones, texting, talking or paying attention to something else in their car...
Sometimes that drives me "nuts"...
Some of the trailers I pull have lots of things written on them and folks tend to drive too close and slow down to read what is on them...
So... I keep my eyes on my mirrors constantly and when I see them getting too close or taking too long to pass me, I roll down my window and look at them to catch their attention and tell them to move... even if they can't hear me... I think they can understand what I am saying... most of the times, they realize and move away... other times I put my arm outside the window and make gestures for them to move on... Generally that works... if not, I slow down some and turn my engine brake on... Then, they go away pretty quickly...
