It was a great time and that was some good cheesecake. Next time I'm getting a whole one. I don't care what it cost! LOL
Seems you pulled in as I pulled out. Then left before I could get back. But I see you made it to TX so that's good.
Pete next time we will just hold you down till you cry uncle. But thanks man, that dinner was nice. I now know what Spyders "Famous Daves" is all about now. But I'll be a darn fool if you ever get next to a check again.
LOL, we planned it that way ;p

Cheesecake for breakfast. I'm officially a fat man in the making.

Why would truck ops call and offer me a load? Headed to Chicago with 1 skid easy smoke tarp.

Happens all the time. There are a couple people in ops that try to get loads covered by calling every available driver in the area. It's been my experience that those are almost always the garbage loads no one wants to pull. But every once in a while a real gem is in there.Steeleandsonfarms Thanks this.

I think I took too much time off. All I heard was everyone whinnying about no freight. I'm not sure what they are talking about. I say there is to much freight. Rates are rising, loads are everywhere and I just negotiated a rate on a load a week out. Say what? Time for me to shake the rust off.

I'm order some stone for my new house for the truck. How much should I order to make a place to turn around.

I noticed rates improve about ten days ago. Not every load but some loads paying real well. Even here up in Jersey.

Are you building on a hard base that never gets soft and muddy? If so, just need enough to spread 3 inches deep. If the spot doesn't drain water well and gets soft at times, you got to build a hard base first. Lime rock works really well. How much just depends on how soft the ground gets.

TBH I didn't really start looking at the board until Wednesday. I had glanced at it a few times while at the truck show but didn't sit and work the board until then. Even then I worked it for 20 mins and booked 3 loads. Today I put about 30 mins into it a booked 4 more. It looks just a little better then before the show but not nearly as good as this time last year. And I heard that was suppose to be slow.77fib77 Thanks this.
