    Yes that was what was going around. Sounds like they will be on salvage titles soon too. They had a big thing on it but I paid little attention.

    Yea that's why this particular guy I was looking at buying from is already ten steps ahead of the game. He's using salvaged trucks an speccing them to the customers preference. Not a bad idea to get a new salvage truck an they pull out all of that emissions crap

    California polices it! http://www.arb.ca.gov/enf/casesett/casesett.htm Check out some of the fines when people get caught. Now a lot of those companies are CA based, but some aren't. I was at the Pilot in Salinas, CA and saw them in action. They didn't ticket one truck at the time like people always suggest, but they did take plate numbers & lots of photos, they didn't ask questions, they didn't talk to the driver, they gathered their evidence and left.

    The past two times I've been to Cali I see more dinosaur trucks than carb compliant trucks. An this was maybe 6 months ago.
    My thing is, why make this stupid rule when you're still gonna allow these guys who actually live there to run there non carb compliant trucks there.
