I am glad your starting to feel better, maybe try a bottle or two of muscle milk, or even the energy version of it? Solid food might be a chore to eat, but liquid drinks can at lease give you some of the nutrients you need to keep going and regain your health.

Well the rain is passed, clear skies and a wonderful sunny day ahead, yeah!

Thanks don, muscle mile, never tried it but a way to take vitamins in liquid form makes perfect sense.

In other news I see Swift Phoenix had a 3 alarm fire. Hope everyone is OK

I still have another week. Had to change my home time for next Monday. Clean out truck on Tuesday and return on the 20th

Pilot here in Franklin, KY. Mac 30 and was only seeing Galatin, The Gap loads, one for NC and the other for MO. Made a phone call and told take the Hazelwood one. Freight in NC today showing a big red bubble. The only think that not like, over nighter, but drop as soon as can get it there. All of 330 miles. Called Planners trying to snag something and no help at all. Because of the freight situation they are only loading by PTA and told me that since mine was 0945 then at that time they would place me on the list. I have this funny feeling that with home time next Monday, seeing lots of short loads in my future for the next 4 days, crap final pay check and I bet loads under 400 miles. I miss the old days and my DM. When in the Midwest and time to go home he would find me a nice one to TX for Friday and have me one out back home so could get at least 2400 miles. Today, I will be lucky to see 1600 for 4.5 days

They sent me a pplan going to El Cajon, CA.
It has way too much time on it.
My DM said I might be able to t-call it in Phoenix, but to grab it because there wasn't much else.

Then I realized just how low my 70 is over the next few days. I'll need a 34 pretty soon,so I may as well just take the load all the way.

That pretty much hoses my plans for a home time this weekend. Oh, well.

Seems to me, that a tcall in PHX might get you closer to your home, then sitting on this till Monday, with maybe a hundred other mty trks. I don't know the diff from your final to your house, but explore other options maybe? Seems like fr8 in PHX is all CA bound mostly, might be worth a phone call to see?

    just thoughts.

    Walcott, Iowa 80,

and OMG! there seems to be no shortage of trks on 80 at all, not last night or tonight. The TA is so packed I'm way in the back 40, I usually prefer to park at the pilot across from here, but they had standing room only for parking, with trks jammed in everywhere. Bummer.

What really is so odd is, most if not all of the thousands of trks I see, not any are what could be called company trks from the so called, mega carriers. They are all the plain white boxes and refers, with trks with little or no writing. I think the under belly of trucking must be made up of more indies, than mega carrier trks, but its us, with the mega carriers that get all the flack.

    again, just thoughts,'

good night, from the back row, in the back 40 from Iowa 80 my friends,'

Back to work after 3 weeks ... heading to Laredo. Maybe I'll see the moose again. Should be in the vicinity of Deming tomorrow night.

Congrats to you for being back, it must have been a nice break.

What I was thinking is, how we all especially Bisqueak, get together in WVC, and have a little good bye party or something. Even maybe head over to Wendover for a night of fun and R&R, oh yeah!

Stayed at Concordia MO TA last night. Walking back to my truck in the waning sunlight, 3 spots over an O/O had his tools spread out on the ground in the spot next to him over the line doing some work. I mean the whole place was sparcely parked, about 1 truck 1 spot 1 truck 1 spot open like that. Here come Werner and decides to back in right next to this O/O lining up his trailer tires on the guy's tools. I wish I had filmed it, it would be one of those that goes down for top 10 stupidity, Werner could have parked anywhere else-- heck even right next to me on either side. But this O/O had to pick up all his tools so Werner could back in next to him.
