Get your videos done immediately after you get access. Like bang them all out at home before orientation. Don't worry about retaining because you have access to them always, but the first done with the videos the first to pick a truck.

You wont have any problem with that, If preplanned on a NYC just let them know you will pick it up but not deliver it. I was with JCT for 4 years before I went to Huntspoint and then went back twice more before I moved on to my next step.
I was with JCT for over 8 years when I left last August. They are a great company, and the best CPM Lease program I know of. Leaving them was a difficult decision. But it was time to go buy a truck and book my own freight. The guys that are active in this thread will make the transition easy, if you have questions just ask.
Manage your fuel and hours and enjoy.

You're right...also those who think going exorbitantly fast will make them more $$$...It won't....it might save them a few minutes but cost them $$$...another thing is many don't realize that as LO/ OO it's not what you gross but what you net is what you make as a truck owner.

Provided the #'s i was given are correct. .14 fsc, .15 rebate and a truck with 7 mpg my total cost per mile for fuel will be .05-.15 or less depending on the price. Better mpg or fsc relative to the price of fuel and I can increase my revenue.

Just know we get paid short miles not practical. So your fuel cost will trend higher when your 1000 mile load takes 1100 miles to complete. I think 8 to 10% is the average overage of miles driven to miles paid.

    I say, STOP!

If you are after the money I would say you are barking at the wrong dog.

As an LP you won't make much more than a well paid company driver (unless you pay off the truck) and you will run like a rented mule to do that.

Why do you wish to LP here?

Fuel economy is what will make or break you as a L/O. Even though JCT pays a lot for you if you over fuel and get bad mpg you are finished as a L/O. The profit margins aren't high enough to absorb high fuel costs.

The picture below is my fuel average running from CA to TX along I-40. I'm not trying to tell anyone how to run their business, but a Freightliner Evo automatic is the best way to go for fuel economy.

My average is 8-9 mpg if I'm climbing grades. 7.8 if I'm loaded heavy and doing a lot of climbing.

Is this the "flying j only" fuel routing you were testing Steel?
