Registration Spot checking

    Anyone get spot checked today for their registrations...?

    Got pulled over in into the 294 Oasis..... Trooper comes up and says "No worries, you did nothing wrong... let me see your 2017 registration".

    I had my logbook, truck folder and med card/cdl and he's like "no.... not even gonna go that far, give me your 2017 registration". He looked at it... then checked the plate.. and said "Have a good day.". I asked for a level 3 paperwork inspection .... told him i'd get a $450 bonus.. he said .. "Oh, that's pretty nice but sorry man, todays your UNLUCKY DAY, boss got us spot checking every tractor and told us to make it quick, but if ya had no 2017 registration.. i'll glad to do a inspection and tow the truck, CYA LOL!".

    You should have said, "Great, I was worried sick you were going to do a Level 3 because I can't afford to be put OOS."

    i got my new registration yesterday, lucky im home for almost a week so no worries until i go back to work

    Our insurance expired yesterday (3/31)....we had to get to a terminal/shop to get our paperwork today. Dumbazzery in the office wins again....no prior warning or effort to get proof of insurance before expiration!

    Got pulled in 3 times in 7 miles of North Ave yesterday....3 registration checks+1 portable scale!!!!!

    Ya.......last couple of years the State has been really stepping up spot checks. When I drove an orange truck we'd only get pulled over BT and it was usually on the Harlem on-ramp to 55 N. I did get pulled over 2 weeks ago near Champaign, same thing paperwork check.


    now that I pull tanks, i've been waived by the portables.
