Why was I thinking you were in Omaha for some reason or did I miss about you moving
-
It was pretty hectic, so I'm not sure I even posted I'd moved. I was able to move where I wanted and work from home, and the Sassy One wanted to come back here. Shortly thereafter we picked up a contract in Denver, so it's worked out well, being close enough to run to the ramp for the day if need be.passingthru69, Big Don, Pullin2 and 1 other person Thank this.

Thanks for that Hammer, I was confused as well! Those heavy wet April snows really do take their toll on things like trees and utility lines. I remember back in 1957, (I was just a kid, but I still remember it,) we got one of those. AND an ice storm on top of it. My dad worked for So Co Power Co, and was working darn near around the clock. The storm took out seven miles of high tension transmission line between Pueblo and Canýon City.Pullin2 Thanks this.

Friend that lives at the top of Coal Creek Canyon, and another that lives above Evergreen both got between 4 and 4 1/2 feet. The one plowed his mile long drive way three times, the other plowed/backhoed at least 6 times.Hammer166 Thanks this.

Most of my driving was in Central Cali, and I've never had to use chains before, and never got taught how to, but it looks like FUN to do.
But not in sub-zero weather tho......or in the dark...
Good work on the posting of these videos!Pullin2 and otherhalftw Thank this. -
Otter, Hammer, Skinner, Don, Et All ......... I measure snow and chains in fingers. Last night there were 6 fingers of snow on the hill ( https://www.cobequidpass.com/COB/About/Maps.aspx ) .... so I had 6 fingers of 12 year old Scotch when I parked.
I'll find another excuse for fingers in the warm weather. LOL.
Hammer and Otter got me on that.
Sucks to be old and single ......otherhalftw, Big Don and Hammer166 Thank this. -
The only excuse I needed for 12 yr old scotch, it was there.
Pullin2 Thanks this. -
Here we go again...they might be reopening a couple ski resorts for another week or so!!
