Running with JCT, Part Deux

The JCT fuel plan wanted me to go 1300 miles in between fuel stops. I'm like ummm yeah...not pushing my fuel that low.

 

You set up your truck details in fuel optimization. You set the options on how much fuel you want to have in your tanks when you stop and how much you want to purchase and how much you have when you start the trip. Then you set your trucks miles per gallon and such underneath the truck details. It gives you the option of how far out of route to look. And then it'll tell you what stations to stop at sometimes there's more than one if you have to put in a little fuel to get to a lower-priced area. I've been using it off and on it seems pretty good.

 

Downloaded it and set up the details. It's telling me the place I had planned to top off anyway. In Fabens, Tx at the Fast Track for $1.95 a gallon.

 

Yeah if you are already pretty good at finding fuel it's not going to be a game changer. I use it in unfamiliar areas. I was curious how it stacked against the suggested routing.

 

I was by there couple days ago. The Phillips 66 was posted at 1.77 right next to Gaspers.

 

Well, unloaded in Sparks, one preplan that I couldn't make pickup on because of my clock. Cancelled it, sitting at the Truckstop awaiting further instruction. Thinking about going in and wasting some money on slots.

 

Well drivers, truck is loaded and on the first run. TruckerTools is great and I compar it to truckstop.com fuel desk. AR to CA. Anyone on here knows of a driver by the name of Jenkins?
