mercer transportation

I put an estimate together for startup equipment and ended up a hair north of $3600. That is everything I used at Maverick sans dunnage. My father also still has chains and binders from when he hauled equipment, so I could cut that down some if they are the size I want. Is this estimate about in line with what one would pay at the Mercer shop?

I agree with skate but not really knowing what you are estimating it's hard to say. We get great discounts. Almost impossible to beat but some items can be beat. Mercer isn't trying to make a dime off of you. But they also have to pay the sweet lady that you buy stuff from. In general we are about 50-75% off truck stop and chrome shop prices. That number drops on many items. But in general the prices we get are awesome.

 

Maybe that should read 25% to 50%

 

Hey, Skate I was reading this thread from earlier dates and y'all were talking about a removable stand on and run open on a conastoga , what is that and is that an option on all of them? Also when you run the NE who pays the tolls? Thanks

 

BTW. It's about time I hit the house again. Rates out west are picking up and all those dumb ##**s out west still haven't learned how to work the board. I'm done trying to teach. I'll just take the money. This should be fun hearing all the Mercer drivers at the truck stops asking how I'm making money while they just sit on the back row.
