Also would like to be able to discuss

Not looking to do much in the way of coils or steel work but versatility is the key to making the most out of opportunities out there thanks for the input.

barroll and Dominick253 Thank this. -
I would but a Mac before anything else. They are Very well built trailers.
sluggo512 and Dominick253 Thank this. -
I'd stay away from 17.5 tires. They get hot and come apart long before they wear out and they are sometimes hard to find.
blairandgretchen and sluggo512 Thank this. -
Stepdecks are already heavy. A 53' composite step is almost useless in the spot market since you'll have trouble scaling more than 45k without an extremely light truck.
Iron-Man, sluggo512, Hegemeister and 1 other person Thank this. -
53' Utility, combo, California legal fixed spread. 9100 lbs. $30,500 with two 5 foot boxes.
Tail swing needs to be watched. Dump valve necessary. KW T2000 and trailer = 31,000 lbs.
Wish I had gone for sliding axle to close up as tandem. I haul light as possible, and don't need the 40 k spread capabilities.
I was looking at a galvanized trailer - forget the name now, both axles slid.
