The pet policy is for 1 small breed dog weighing 15 pounds or less and there is a $250 non-refundable deposit

I checked out Big G, Magnum, Great Plains and Davis Express.
All appear to be standup outfits from my research.

Big G and Davis Express are my two finalists, but I think I'm going with Davis Express.

Big G seems to mostly run the northeast. I prefer to run the southeast and out west. Davis Express only runs the southeast. That should work for me.

My schedule will be 7 on, 2 off, with the 2 off garaunteed to be 48 hours.

If for some reason it doesn't work out, I'll likely look pretty hard at Big G, even though I'm not a fan of the northeast. Their home policy seems to be pretty similar to Davis Express.

Has nothing to do with payroll.

If a load is unproductive ( too much time on it/ del time cant be moved up ) I will request to drop it at one of our yards.

Sitting with unproductive loads while only out for 5 or 6 days a stretch makes no sense.

Most loads do not have this issue but when they crop up I get them dropped at a yard to stay rolling and productive.

Matters not to me when a load pays out.
