Had the same thing happen to me. Always good to help out other drivers on the road. We have all been there.RayH Thanks this.

I got some advice for rookies since I'm one... Take your time while driving/parking. Who cares if you hold up traffic or people are watching you mess up. Put the thing in park and get out if you need to. It might be embarrassing if your new and others are watching or you keep messing up but everyone has to learn so just take your time.

Also, if you've been at it a while and it's not going in and trucks are backing up waiting, maybe that's a good time to circle back around, allow the trucks to proceed, then set up again. Chances are the initial setup was the biggest problem making the backup maneuver harder than it needed to be.
Once you get the rig "totally out of a workable position" no amount of pull-ups will fix it and the only thing that will help is starting from scratch with a new approach and setup.tinytim, RayH, Starboyjim and 1 other person Thank this. -
Yeah! I think a lot of the times backing is not the hard part. It's recognizing how to set your self up that takes the most time. Backing can be easy for the most part if your set up correctly.RayH Thanks this.

I agree with this but I'd change to "...the most experience." I am a newer driver and every time I run into a backing head-scratching situation its from jacked up setup.RayH Thanks this.

So let me get this right, you sat there and watched her. And you call someone else lazy? Hmm.

I rarely pull nose forward in a personal vehicle these days.

Haha, in our parking lot for my work all the drivers back in... All the others are nose in. You can tell who's a driver and whose not by how they park their cars.street beater Thanks this.

Exactly the same at my shop!
