I agree with @dngrous_dime , I lock the forward/back motion but adjust height throughout the day. I also buy my own seat though... you can drop in a new seat yourself, runs about 7-800 for a great one, downside is pulling it back out when you quit. Current one I run has a lower back air cycle, so you have to hook it to power also.

Favorite seat ever was the old international 9400 eagle stock, bare bone but it had the perfect ridge right beneath my shoulders-just felt right for posture

My favorite seat was in my Pete 579. Had dual arm rests that were adjustable by a spinning lever instead of locking in a preset position so I could get them just the perfect height. I recommend a seat with dual arm rests to releave upper back, neck, and shoulder tension. My Volvo I drive now only has one arm rest and I don't use it because it makes my shoulders sit out of wack causing me severe tension problems.

Anyone tried that Bose seat yet? Would love to try one to see if they are worth the $5k.

I think overall ride comfort can have a big effect on what is perceived as seat comfort. The Volvo 780 seat was felt comfy but after 11 hours driving I felt worn out and knees were aching. KW 680 seat itself doesn't feel much different to Volvo but i don't feel any aches or stiffness at the end of the day.

I have to use a patio chair pad and a pillow behind me in the 2013 Cascasia with 400k on it. The seat is wore the f*** out. After the first month I had a lower back issue that I never had before. Its completely gone now.

My chair height changes through the day. I like the porch swing on the road but lock it down when I have to shift.
Yeah, I'd like to know as well for reference when I purchase a truck.

As you can see it all depends on the driver. You'll never get one answer for one brand of seat with all the different drivers. So your answer is whatever is best for you.

    dngrous_dime Thanks this.

We have those Bose seats in several of our new trucks. They're not very popular.

Our crack team of professional parts changers decided to put an International seat in my Mack Vision.

I hate it. I can't adjust the angle of the part I sit on, which leaves my hamstrings hurting after a while.

That depends on you.It you're in the seat all day it can get uncomfortable. For me there was days I was quite comfy They other days I would sit on a pillow.
