I am in Wisconsin and head to orientation at Schneider next week. I thought I was doing regional but my paperwork says dry van OTR. I am wondering about home times for either. Thanks in advance.

How close to either the OC or an acceptable parking place are you? That may pay a role in how often you can actually go home. I don't do OTR so I can't tell you more but those factors may weigh into your schedule. I've always heard 1 in for every 7 out. It may also just depend on freight levels.

I'm not OTR either but when I was talking to the recruiter, she said what @TruckerVinny said. 1 day for 7 out. I was told it'd be 14/2, then 14/3 at the end of the month. No clue how true that is. I thought regional was every weekend but can't remember that much.

I drive local for them in Phoenix, I'm home every night. Today is my Saturday.
I heard a bunch of guys talking in the orientation, this was the experienced drivers group, sounds like they have a wide range od plans you can choose from on how much you want to be out. -
Maybe its just my tired eyes since I'm three ours into my ten and haven't slept yet but I keep seeing ...Schneider home fries... on this thread title.

If you see a black dog, it's too late. Better get a power nap driver.91B20H8 Thanks this.

I would get the regional/OTR thing cleared up before making the trip.

Definitely. I remember some of the people in my class wanted to switch positions on the first day at Carlisle and they weren't allowed to.
