Illegal roadside inspection?

So did you have your phone in your hand or not?

 

The title is illegal roadside inspection.....I'm failing to see the connection.

 

He was using his phone and getting a warning was illegal. Because it's never his fault. Trying to find an excuse to blame others but himself

 

All I know is if you get any kind of inspection, citation, written warning, you have to sign or it doesn't really exist. And typically it's not like your gonna grab your ID out of there hand, say F/U, jump in the truck and leave, I don't see that scenario turning out favorably.
Fortunately I have clean inspections, and I've signed for everyone, and they give you two copies, one for safety, one for yourself, you notify safety they don't.
That's it for me, not even gonna argue points on this site anymore, that's been my experience in 11 years.

 

Can you say " hands free device " ?

 

Yeah...Illegal inspection is a non Dot certified cop,pulling you over and proceeding to take you thru a level 3 inspection(which they aren't trained or certified to do.Sure they can ticket you for a burnt light ,busted windshield.I call BS also.If he gave the driver a "warning" why would he log it on csa or call company and "narc" on him.Must have been the dash cam

 

It could have been worse. Being out of a job in addition up to a 2,700 fine for use of handheld device while driving

 

Lately a lot of truckers are holding the phone up high in plain sight and playing on it .
be discreet at least.

 

No kidding, but stupid is stupid....they won't learn even the hard way

 

A person that I work with just got a ticket for texting while driving. She was stopped in traffic and used her phone and a cop nearby saw her.
