Some good ideas up in here. Now that I am a bit wiser and have even more experience with a nice clean mvr, i won't ever again look at a company that does have some sort of cooling system in place for their drivers.

Wouldn't it be ironic if some CEO or shareholders for a company like this got into a wreck with a semi because the driver was fatigued due to awful sleeping conditions?

Gotta keep those quarterly profits up!

 

I can't check the tire pressure on my Cascadia drive tires as they have the covers on them, sure I can peak in there, but my gauge is too long to check the pressure.
And I'm too lazy to walk all the way back to the trailer tires.

 

I dread summer cause my mpg goes down but to all those that ragged my ### about not idleing when it's 50 degrees ..here's your sign ! My trucks running now and I'm not to concerned about it .

 

Ran my FL60 through that kind of heat not too long ago (2700mi run through the south) with the AC not working.
The only way i made it was by buying a styrofoam cooler and filling it with ice, then keeping one of my two hats in it while wearing the other one (soaked hats switching when it got warm).
Put ice in the front pockets of my cotton shirt as well.

It works surprising well if you ever get stuck without AC or with AC that can't keep up.

Good old JB Hunt,just issued me a cascadia,with 23,000 miles.
The ac blows iceballs.
I wake up after a few hours,with ice on my windows.
No apu,just idle the truck.

bring it I love the heat people are crying about the heat only 110 what will they do when it gets hot @ 116 or more yes im in vegas been here for last 20 years

 

Im from South Georgia. The heat is something ive been used too for awhile. So im fine with the triple digit weather.
