Especially if it involves flashing red or blue lights. Have a safe trip!

Eh, nothing to see here citizens. Move along...

Never had an inspection during their 'blitzes', in fact, the PA DOT doesn't even set up at night where I run. Daytime is a different story.

Just go vampire for a few days. But after this is over, please return yourselves to being solar powered, so us vampires can play in peace

It never hurts to have a clean and shiny truck. I truly some officers think that if you spend the time to keep your rig clean that you keep up on the other stuff too. It also helps to have good looking tires and brakes.

Peter Griffin and bzinger Thank this.

I'm in Akron right now. I was hoping to get out of here today but the dispatcher seems to be sitting on his hands instead of finding me a load.

delivered in Fort McCoy this AM...going home until Fri. Company has freight, wants me to run...no thanks. I hear all the "well if there's nothing wrong, there's nothing to be afraid of" crap. Then there shouldn't be a need for a safety week. If I'm going on vacation next week and I see there's a storm gonna tear up the island, am I still gonna go? or wait until the following week? The way I see it is, they're (the DOT guys) coming out here with the predisposition that SOMETHING is wrong. you guys have fun ;)

Lol, plenty parking at the Pilot in Rising Fawn, GA right now. I'd say a lot of trucks will be laying over....at home.
