It depends on how many months you will be on the road. As a team you will make around 3000 to 3500 hundred a week after taxes to be split between you both. I've made 4800 in a week training so I know you can do it as a team on occasion. All of this is after expenses. I would say yall could bring home around 60 thousand a piece for the year after taxes if you run consistently and once the truck is paid off around 75 thousands a piece.

The math does not change on a lease purchase with your wife. If you are both living out of the same wallet that is. If the person teaming with you is a stranger then it is in your advantage to team.

I have leased on my truck with a company who assigned me a co driver. I make 50 cents and the co driver makes 50 cents per. The truck owner (Me) gets the other dollar a mile (on $1.50 freight). When he is driving my truck gets worn out but paid for faster.

 

Go to a company and team. Do not to any kind of fleece purchase!! Do the hard work. Learn how to run a business...specifically the trucking business. Save your money and get your truck the right way. Do the hard work. There are no short cuts. You will be glad you did.
