the company i work for currently logs up in riberalta (northern part of bolivia) and there are some roads like that too. i think this is the one that goes from la paz to ... somewhere else. it's worth mentioning that there is a new highway that is much better that you can use.

I'll pass on the road shown in the original post! Well, maybe in a sports car, but in anything larger - not on your life! My hubby would probably want to skateboard down that one though. He grew up in St. Thomas, and I think they have some roads similar to that down there!

Do you mean State route 19, or US 19?

Hubby's home for a couple of days, and I showed him this thread. I quote " Rock N Roll Nik says he'd bomb that on a skate board - no Jakes! Bring It!" Or as his buddy Last Call says, "Put it in the big hole and gouge on it! I'm always up for a challenge!"

Hogster, you took the words right out of my mouth! I was gonna say, i'll drive it anyday on a bicycle, I'd be afraid I'd lose it on a motorcycle.

We have some roads like that here in Georgia! Me and the hubby have learned the hard way, NEVER take the left hand turn towards Ellijay in Chatsworth or the left hand turn towards Talking Rock. If you are from GA and have ended up on these roads you know why, the infamous Burnt Mountain and Chatsworth Mountain, they both are nicely paved highways on the edge of a mountain with NO guard rails. I dont think trucks are allowed on Chatsworth Mountain but Im not sure about Burnt Mountain.

I'm crazy, but I'm not stupid. I'm gonna see that road in my dreams now. Thanks so much for sharing that. :biggrin_25512:
