Well, delivering my last load in the morning, then off to Tulsa to sell the truck. Bittersweet, the last 24 years this has been my identity, it is somewhat emotional, but glad to get out.

I understand what your saying and how you feel. I have been an O/O since 1984. I sold out 6 weeks ago. For me, I can honestly say I do not miss anything about it.
Trucking has been real good to me, I bought my first truck for the freedom, ELD was the nail in the coffin for me.
I hope you are as satisfied and content with your decision as I am with mine.
The best of luck to you @kjosephLone Ranger 13 and kjoseph Thank this. -
Good luck to you. At least you got to sell the truck so it doesn't have to sit like you previously stated
kjoseph Thanks this. -
It's not you, it's me. I have been using duct tape. I'm just trying to pick up a better way to mend tarps. I already have a donor tarp.

I had that about you @mtoo and had wondered how you felt. Now I know for sure. Lol. It's been a living, always provided for us, has not been the same the last few years, lost the zeal for it a long time ago. Lots of memories, lots of things that most people will never see or get to enjoy out here, but as I said a while back, I'm no old timer but it sure ain't the same. Such is life.
