So my reefer was parked around November of last year. I went over and picked it up last week to load it. I couldn't get the Yanmar engine in it to start. After attempting and checking several days I came to the conclusion that the solenoid was bad so I replaced it. That didn't solve my problem. I have fuel in the filter, I have fuel at all 4 of the plastic fuel lines on the injector pump. I am not getting any fuel to the topside of the injector pump or the injectors.

There is a plug on the top side of the side bowl (if that's what it is called) that I removed. I stuck a small screwdriver down there and there is no fuel there. I'm under the assumption that the fuel flows through there to get to the injectors. I'm at my wits end trying to get this running. It ran perfectly fine when I parked it last year.

Did you take an air hose and push fuel to motor from reefer fuel tank to prime ?
Something is not opening up or pulling fuel.

Yes we did charge the tank with air. I'm getting fuel to the pump itself.

The main fuel line goes from the tank to pump, the other line from the pump then goes up to the filter. There are 2 smaller lines from the filter to the pump, I am guessing one of those lines is the supply line from the filter and the other is the return line. I have fuel there as well. The fuel filter is full of fuel.

I do not have fuel at the top of the pump going to the injectors.

Sounds like the fuel solenoid. 2 bolts and pull it off and try to start in manual mode.

    Joe Dan Thanks this.

Just put a new solenoid on.

Here is where I'm at today with it. It still will not start through the computer pad. I did get it to run jumping the starter solenoid with the fuel solenoid removed.

I had the computer pad completely off, took off the fuel solenoid, jumped the starter and it started right up. I then turned the computer pad on and as it was going through the start up cycle the fuel solenoid rod did get pulled in. I then installed the fuel solenoid and I let the reefer run for about a 1/2 hour. I then shut it down and tried to start it through the computer pad and all it does it turn the motor over maybe a 1/4 of a revolution and shuts down. I'm thinking somewhere there is a power wire that has either been chewed through by a mouse or there is a sensor that is telling it not to start. Anyone else have any ideas?

I don't know if your unit has the option to run a "pre-trip" on it, I have a carrier and you can do that, it basically checks all systems and tells you if anything fails. Could be also that battery not strong enough to start it with the pad.

How do I get into this pre trip mode?

It's a brand new battery so that's what was leading me to a bad wire or sensor issue.
