so I've a foreign sounding last name and I've decided that I will adopt a very annoying accent from now on. Problem is I can't figure out which will be the hardest to decipher for people. I can do heavy russian or heavy British easily. But I think that indian or perhaps Japanese accent should really confuse people. Any thoughts?
Indian from India. A few years ago a woman from India got a teaching job in Arizona, teaching English in a public school. There were so many complaints from students and parents, the school moved her to another subject. She sued in federal court and the school district was forced to put her back into her original English course. They ruled she was discriminated against because of her accent.
I was just saying yesterday if I could pull off a whole day as someone completely different. I say go with a Jersey accent but talk like countryfolk. "Y'all got skeeters in this here dock the size of my Daddy's hay bailer."
Rofl. You guys are much better than me at this. I know asl, so I could actually go into shippers and sign at them until they freaked out.. That would be rather interesting to see how they handle it.
