Average length of haul is a lot longer on the reefer side, and I move when dry drivers are moaning about being #70 in the que for a load. I've always got one before I empty out. And even solo reefer without a student I'll get 2000+ Mile loads by myself somewhat frequently. Solo I averaged 2800-3000.
The only way your getting 42cents is with the platinum bonus. Which I have. Or like 5+yrs which I don't have.
Swift refrigerated worth it

I was offered .42 to pull reefer with swift at 1 year experience but it was a dedicated route
-
Were you with Central Refrigerated when Swift bought them out?
-
true, dedicated accounts can offer more, OTR in general though I think starts at .36 still. I recently moved up to .40cpm base plus platinum bonus, which is like .06cpm
-
I was hired as a driver for Central, but in the transition period, technically yes, in reality I have always driven with DOT# 054283 on the door so no, not really.
I will admit being a swift driver. they have always done me right.MidwestResident Thanks this. -
That is great, you are very fortunate.
God bless you and your family!

I'm a company driver and have never gotten more for refrigerated. I would stay away from Swift though. They are big on promise but short on follow through. I'm a recovering Swiftie and they treat their drivers like crap.
MidwestResident and roadgoddess Thank this. -
When were you with Swift, and how long were you with them?
