Last time I tried to call recruiter was mysteriously out on vacation or something havn't had a chance to call back since. Last time they advertised pay wasn't the greatest I believe it come out to about 1.40/mile or so I wasn't too impressed from what I read on craigslist.

If it's any indication of what you can expect pulling a reefer I know for a fact hirshbach has a bunch of trucks on with cargill pulling feed. If a bottom feeder reefer outfit has their trucks pulling grain buggys I'd imagine nothing being done for cargill is paying to great.

Call and find out what the deal is. You don't know numbers to even start with until you have them. Then you can come here, ask your questions and blah blah.

Till then it's all here say, uh bless you find an actual reefer driver on the fleet at this moment.

Cargill has their hands in so much #### and make a little of everything. They got money. Are they willing to pay? I don't know.

If your looking at Cargill you might also look at JBS Carriers. I worked for them when I first started they where pretty good for mega company but since then they put cameras and audio in there trucks.

Ouch, every time I hear a lease, I go ouch. You even pondering about lease hurts me. What an answer huh? Experience, mine can be your wisdom. I leased before. In retrospect, I was a company driver making a pay check, and home every night. My home paid for and my 1995 Honda Civic running better than new cars, was also paid for. I was debt free baby! Then the day came, the boss man wearing red, I swear he looked like the devil himself. He comes up to me and says, "Randy my boy come here. I have an offer for you." I got into his office. To be honest it was my first time in his office. It was a reliable office. He told that I am making .38 CPM right now, and if I lease his truck, I would make $1.50 per mile. I was thinking after gas and the lease payment, I'm walking away with dough. Oh boy was I wrong. I signed the paper, after showing it to my retarded lawyer who graduated from Harvard. The lawyer cat said, yeah you would be stuck with him for 5 years. I am like dam I been working for this company for like 6 years already. Zum sum hum. I did it. Signed and the truck came. I picked my first load, and called dispatch for my back-haul. Then I heard it, " Randy, we have to get our company drivers first. your load will be ready tomorrow. Just stay put." That was my two years. I made less than what I made as a company driver. My idiot lawyer did not tell me that the boss man will come after my home if I breach the contract. The money I saved before helped, those two years. I head enough. Enough! I told the boss-man, "here is your key. I quit! breach of contract whatever! You can come after me or my assets!" it felt great, but yes, a lawsuit happened and he won. Lien on my home, but because it's paid off, I saved enough to pay him back. I made a group in my local city college. People with bad contracts tell their story, and I #### you not that most of the time it's transportation lease contrast that people lose their #### from!

Blukatnga and Joe Dan are talking about leasing on to Cargill as owner operators , not lease purchase stuff.

Was leased on there many years ago with 2 trucks and trailers. Did very well at the time but those times have changed. Have heard things are not all that great there anymore. Just because cargill has a big business doesn't mean you will haul everything they do. It was mainly meat, soy products, salt, and depending on the area broker loads. Like I have said in other posts I have replied to on here regarding them we did well.
